a whole lot of nothing

i've had a couple of busy days here lately. i'm just doing math and stuff around the house. trying to stay caught up. it never works out like i think it should.

i've picked up playing with the java. if everything associated with java could speed up, the innate knowledge that java carries with it could help make it a good math language. really. (hi, i'm java. i know the size of an array that you give a method.) this all really makes me wish that as an undergraduate i had paid a little more attention to my education. i've had to relearn so many things instead of refreshing myself. (like java, for instance.)

speaking of java, i love it's non-programming namesake: coffee. my coffee consumption should probably be a little lower. but it's hard to truly argue this when time is at a premium and i feel like i need to get things done.

the tomatoes look good. they're growing. unfortunately so is everything else around them. it's like someone randomly set out four tomato vines in the middle of a fern forest.

i watched ferris bueller's day off just a few days ago. what an icon of a movie. how could i ever forget how truly great that movie is? i implore you not to make the same mistake (says jon with finger pointing at you!)
