long vacation blog

so we went on vacation and what a vacation it was. after the samsi 2006 undergraduate workshop was over, we headed out on our road trip. thus, it began.

we first stayed at kristen's family's house in maryland just outside of washington d.c. we had good food and times. that was friday. saturday rolled around and we hit the d.c. trails. we saw the world war two memorial, the washington monument, the lincoln memorial, the vietnam memorial, the korean war veterans memorial, the fdr memorial and several others. it was an awesome trip.

we traveled sunday afternoon and were in ohio that night. we had dinner at muccio's (mike fixed). we then caught x3. monday was sarah's birthday and fun was had by all. esp. mike and i who were busy engineering a 802.11g blaster from the grove household to sarah's grandparents. we wound out the day with a nice bonfire in the country.

tuesday was all about cedar point. i rode rides such as the magnum xl200, the mean streak, the raptor, and the wicked twister. the best roller coaster was absolutely the top thrill dragster!. it was rockin! we finished off the awesome day with a trip to the steak and shake and i drank my coke for the month. unfortunately this resulted in a bad full bladder and my running across a road looking for a bathroom in apparently a rough ohio neighborhood.

we drove back yesterday and made it safe and sound later on. we would up our day with taco bell (we had no food!) and stacey's cherry-limeade. it was sure good to be home!
