road trip
on friday we drove from raleigh, nc to temple, tx. it went really well and i'm about to tell you how well...
we left raleigh around 11:00 a.m. which was about 2 hours later than intended. we headed south on i-85 through charlotte and down to atlanta. the traffic was thick, but once we got to atlanta, it came to a standstill. we sat for about an hour (moving only very little) in downtown traffic. we hadn't had much to drink and so didn't need to make pitstops. stacey drove for about 7.5 hours.
we changed out about 35 minutes before the alabama border and stopped at a taco bell/kfc. i thought ky was interesting. this place was a find. straight out of a country music (gone awry) video.
we drove off and on, takinng shifts of sleep/driving for the rest of the night. around 8:30 we drove up to stacey's mom and dad's house.
i then proceeded to sleep for about 7 hours in the middle of the day and another 7 later on at night. it was good to rest.
