oddity

so we were walking down the street this weekend in stockholm and there was a car with a virginia license plate.... is that not odd?

blogger

so i went to comment on my sister's blog but couldn't remember my password. normally this is no big deal but blogger decided that since i'm in sweden, i understand swedish so all of the words were swedish. anyway i went through the normal forgot password stuff and put in the blog i am subscribed to (yours, stacey) and nothing happened that i saw. so then i went and put in my email. when i checked my email i had not one but two emails from blogger about how i was going to have to sign up to gmail just to get my password. so i signed up for yet another email address and finally got access to blogger again. yay me! anyway i'm sorry about the using the blog name to see if that would give me my password because andy said he also got an email in swedish about how to get his password so i figure both of you have one as well. who knew?

by the way, this blog has been a little sad... i wonder how long it will take for people to notice i blogged...

today

so i alluded the dreaded committee flub. somehow the person on my committee was never swapped out for the person whose signature i had gotten earlier in the year. with a few emails, that was straightened out.

i've about gotten a mex function written which will take care of so many things. especially runtime. i also realized that i have to write a presentation for my oral prelim. oh well.

work work work

i'm heading out to san diego on sunday and as such am trying to get all kinds of work done. i've got a few more things on my plate that would be great to get rid of and have finished.

i don't have a lot to post about, i just wanted to post. :-)

so my sister was induced this morning - so maybe today we'll have a little nephew!

obsession

so i have recently become completely obsessed with the office. completely. i've seen all the episodes, and all the deleted scenes available. in the morning when i wake up and am still in bed i think about settings when jim and pam can get together. i have a problem. i should go seek therapy or something.

but man, what a good show.

christmas in july

in a mimic to an old statler bros. song, i say now "whatever happened to a cold christmas?" i remember when we had feet of snow in the winter! it's not been that long ago. i remember when december made us get out jackets. whatever happened with that?

i get out of the shower and grab a nice warm sweatshirt. i was quite excited of the prospect of wearing it. then i checked weather.com today. the high is?....anybody...anybody....75 DEGREES! look at the date of this blog. it's december 18th, 2006! now in more of a seinfeldian mimic, i say "what's up with that?" i mean seriously. have we globally warmed ourselves that much? i thought when global warming was supposed to have gotten this far, florida would be underwater totally and california was supposed to float away or something.

i hope we have a cold winter sometime! i guess those days really are done.

i've announced it everywhere else already - ha. you'd think i would have thought to post something here first. oh well. of course you three know already, but yeah...i'm pregnant! woohoo! the baby is due may 31, so everyone mark your calendars!
